You just need to be willing to clip into a harness, step backward off the edge of a 19-story building, and rappel down the face of the Kimpton Claret Hotel in downtown Denver — all for kids fighting cancer at Children’s Hospital Colorado. That’s Over the Edge, happening September 16, 17 & 18, and registration is open now.
Here’s what it takes
Register to rappel. Sign up, then raise a minimum of $1,000 in pledges to earn your spot on the ledge. First-timers make up most of our roster every year — no rappelling experience required, just a fundraising goal and the will to hit it.
Once you’re registered, your personal fundraising page becomes the engine. That’s where the rest of your network comes in:
Ask a business to sponsor you — Employers and local businesses often cover a big chunk of a rappeller’s goal in exchange for visibility at the event.
Bring your people to cheer — Nothing gets you over that ledge like your own crowd shouting from the ground.
Point your network to give directly — Every gift toward your total funds research, clinical trials, and patient services at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
