Lynne Cottrell, a long-time Arapahoe County Republican and community activist, passed away early August 31, 2026.
Lynne served as Chair of the Arapahoe County Republican Party, was an Aurora Republican precinct leader and delegate to numerous county, congressional and state Republican assemblies/conventions including serving as a Colorado delegate to the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She also was actively involved in Cherry Creek Republican Women as an officer and board member for many years as well as a board member of the Aurora Republican Forum (ARF) and assisted her husband, Bo, when he was the president of that organization.
Lynne was recognized by the Arapahoe County Republican Party for her many years of activism to the party by receiving the prestigious Mary Lane Award earlier this year.
Lynne and Bo were dedicated volunteers for T.A.P.S. (Tragedy Assistance Programs for Survivors) and chaired their many successful annual fundraisers. Prior to T.A.P.S., Lynne and Bo were Make-A-Wish volunteers.
Lynne rest in peace - you will be missed.
