Colorado Press Hall of Fame to Honor Publishers Gerri and Bob Sweeney

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — Publishers Gerri and Bob Sweeney will be honored and inducted into the Colorado Press Hall of Fame during a special ceremony on Aug. 29, 2026, recognizing 67 years of service to the newspaper industry.
The recognition places the Sweeneys’ long record in Colorado community journalism at the center of an evening devoted to the profession’s enduring local impact. The approved Hall of Fame campaign materials describe the couple’s decades of work in publishing and identify the August ceremony as the occasion for their induction.
