Cherry Hills Village prepares Nov. 3 municipal ballot
Cherry Hills Village voters will elect a mayor and council members for Districts 2, 4, and 6; the city has scheduled the ballot-order lot draw for Sept. 1.

Cherry Hills Village's regular municipal election is set for Nov. 3, 2026, with mayor and City Council Districts 2, 4, and 6 on the ballot.
All seats are elected at-large, meaning registered voters across the city may vote for one candidate for each office on the ballot. The mayor serves a two-year term and is limited to three consecutive terms. Council members serve four-year terms and are limited to two consecutive terms. No incumbents are term-limited for the 2026 election, according to the city's candidate information page.
The city held a candidate information session Aug. 4. Nomination petitions were due by 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24. The ballot-order lot draw is scheduled for Sept. 1 during City Council at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. Terms begin at the January 2027 organizational meeting.
The city page lists current officeholders who are not term-limited: Mayor Katy Brown, District 2 Council Member Earl Hoellen, District 4 Council Member Susan Maguire, and District 6 Council Member Robert Eber. Those names are current officeholders, not a certified candidate list.
As of this update, The Villager is not naming filed candidates because the city has not yet posted the certified list. The petition window closed Aug. 24, and the city will certify who qualified for the ballot. City Clerk Laura Gillespie can be reached at 303-783-2732.
