Aspen Academy, located at Orchard Road and University Blvd in Greenwood Village, has been sold to International Schools Partnership (ISP), a for-profit firm backed by private equity, based in London, England. The price was $39 million, a portion of which depends on performance, though reports were not clear in what sense.
The school’s published curriculum, as described in the print story, includes student-run businesses, where middle schoolers “learn accounting, marketing, customer service, and failure—all before high school.” Students complete more than 200 hours of personal financial education by the time they graduate and work with real business mentors when they are in 8th grade.
